Print your own gift bags, tags and wrap

Make your Christmas present look fabulous with this fun workshop, where you will design, carve and print your own wrapping paper, gift bags and tags. In this fun, festive workshop you will: - Develop simple motifs for block printing - Cut your motifs from soft stamping vinyl - experiment with pattern placement and layout - print some wrapping paper, gift bags and tags to take home and use this Christmas to make your gifting extra special! Our designs for this workshop will be based on decorative Christmas imagery. Think snowflake patterns, Christmas plants such as holly, ivy, mistletoe and other berries, Christmas trees, baubles and stars. There will be some motifs and designs for you to adapt in the workshop - you will also receive an email with some further ideas ahead of the workshop, but please bring along any photos, sketches, or existing designs that you would like to use as inspiration. Our workshop is 2 hours long - choose from a morning session 10am -12.00pm, or afternoon 1.00 - 3.00 pm. Suitable for age 16 + This workshop is aimed at beginners and those with some previous experience. The cost of the course includes all materials. Places are limited to 8 participants to ensure that all members have plenty of 1:1 tuition and guidance on the day. You will be with a very experienced Tutor - I spent 17 years teaching Art and Design in FE colleges. Tea & coffee and other beverages, will be available throughout the day. There will also be biscuits and perhaps a mince pie or two! Please stipulate if you have any dietary requirements when booking. We will be using printing inks which may stain clothing. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron! There is free parking at the venue.
