Ever wondered whether you might enjoy Lino printing? Curious about what it entails? Come and join me for this taster session. Over the course of two hours, you will explore: - the materials and equipment required to create your very own one colour Lino print - the basic principles and terminology we use for lino printing - test out your mark-marking and carving skills - discover what makes a good design for this method of printing -learn how to ink, and print your carved design - create your own first prints on paper - Take your prints home with you - ready to frame, give as gifts or turn into greetings cards! Our designs for this workshop will be seasonal and summery! No artistic ability whatsoever is needed for this session, other than a willingness to have a go! There will be design templates you can follow, as well as plenty of inspiration on hand, if you want to try designing your own from scratch. . Our course runs from 10am to 12pm and is suitable for 16 + (14+ if accompanied by an adult) This workshop is aimed at people who have NEVER lino printed before and are curious to give it a go. We will be using printing inks which may stain clothing. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron! Although this event is free - places are limited. Pre - booking is essential. If for any reason you book and then can't attend please let me know so I can offer the place to someone else.
