My current work is based on the landscape and geology around the midlands. Mostly, they are a fusion of different places I have seen, rather than faithfully depicting a particular view point.  They are a combination of typical  scenes combined with some knowledge of the local geology, particularly the limestone and coal seams which enabled the midlands to flourish industrially.

The paintings themselves are also a fusion, having been created using a mixed media approach. Typically they can include watercolour, ink, gouache, acrylic, dye and other media on paper. The media depends on the requirements of each piece and can be the result of much experimentation.

Some of the work on the site is for sale, including a range of giclee prints and greetings cards, taken from the original paintings. I exhibit regularly around the midlands, both alone, with colleagues, and as a member of several societies. If you would like to be kept informed of forthcoming exhibitions and events please join the mailing list.

Be sure to return to the site again soon, as it is regularly up-dated. Click here to view the full Gallery.
