Service Description

In the lovely pac of Crafty Happenings, this four hour course will allow you to: - learn how to create a lino print using more than one colour - learn about colour harmonies and how to use them in printmaking - how to carve subsequent layers to build up an image from one piece of lino - Create a final three or four colour print based on what you have learnt Our designs for this workshop will be based on pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, and could also include some autumn leaves. the composition, and design will be up to you! You will receive an email with some ideas for inspiration ahead of the workshop, but please bring along any photos, sketches, digital images, that you would like to use. There will also be an 'inspiration table' in the workshop itself for you to browse for ideas! Our course runs from 2pm to 6.00 pm and is suitable for 16 + This workshop is aimed at those with some prior experience lino printing, but beginners are also welcome. The cost of the course includes all materials. Places are limited to 6 participants to ensure that all members have plenty of 1:1 tuition and guidance on the day. You will be with a very experienced Tutor - I spent 17 years teaching Art and Design in FE colleges. Refreshments will be available during the session. Please stipulate if you have any dietary requirements when booking. We will be using printing inks which may stain clothing. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron! There is free on road parking on Windsor Avenue and surrounding streets, close to Crafty Happenings.

To cancel, please contact me within 7 days of the date of the workshop you have booked to attend. Due to room booking costs and other overheads, late cancellations will only receive a 50% refund. You may be able to reschedule, providing I have an other upcoming workshop which would be suitable.
