Full Day Beginners Lino print workshop

Service Description

This full day workshop is a relaxed-paced beginner's lino print workshop, at Tettenhall Wood Institute, in Wolverhampton. Take your time learning this absorbing craft, in a friendly and fun atmosphere, with likeminded people. This is a great opportunity to discover, or reconnect with, your creativity as you explore: - the materials and equipment required to create your very own Lino print - the basic principles and terminology of printmaking - test out your mark-marking and carving skills - develop a final one colour print using the skills you have learnt - print your first edition! - Frame your best lino print to take home with you - ready to hang immediately! Our designs for this workshop will be based on Spring plant forms. Shoots, buds and blossoms etc would be great choices. Bring along any photos, sketches, digital images, dried or fresh plants that you would like to use for inspiration. There will also be some materials in the workshops you can use for inspiration on the day. Our course runs from 10am to 3pm and is suitable for 16 + The cost of the course includes all the materials required to create your print, you will need t bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee, biscuits, and homemade cake will be served. Please stipulate if you have any dietary requirements when booking. Places are limited to 8 participants to ensure that all members have plenty of 1:1 tuition and guidance on the day. You will be with a very experienced Tutor - I spent 17 years teaching art and Design in FE colleges. We will be using printing inks which may stain clothing.
